Nice to see the statute, I appreciate that. I am glad Zimmerman has favorable odds. But as a possible provocateur he still may hold some civil liability. I hope the best for him. He used poor judgement, but acted lawfully, (not a presumption).
I'm not a lawyer for sure, but everyday I have to act ...

Re: 17y/o Killed By Neighborhood Watch/CHL
Yes a lot of assumptions based on the facts of life. You are presuming guilt on Trevon, I give him the benefit of innocent until he has done something wrong. I would never assume he was up to no good, just suspicious. Call the police, secure my residence and let the professionals handle it. He ...

Re: 17y/o Killed By Neighborhood Watch/CHL
Zimmermans life is over as he knew it. Not only living with the fact that he took an innocent life, legally in my opinion, he will live with guilt of knowing he could have done it different. He will probably not go to trial for this second-degree murder charge and if he does he will be found ...

Re: Cigar boxes.
Are those cigar boxes or humidors in which cigars are sometimes sold? I ask because the only cigar boxes I ever see are cardboard, like the last one posted.
They are boxes, but can be a humidor if you throw in the little humidifier unit. These are boxes that new cigars are sold in. eBay has so ...

Re: 17y/o Killed By Neighborhood Watch/CHL
I got caught up watching a show on PBS Friday evening. Had three lawyers and one of them actually stated that Zimmerman lost the right to use deadly force when he followed this CHILD. You as an individual lose the right to defend yourself with deadly force if you are the provocateur and find ...

Re: First LEO Encounter - Friendswood, TX
My CHL class was in January and the Instructor said that when a LEO runs your plate during a traffic stop, their computer alerts them that the registered owner has a CHL. I'm not sure how long this has been in effect and I did not ask the Officer during the stop.
I think your instructor was wrong ...

A front plate is required. There was new language in the law that made it ambiguous as to what the fine can be. But you are still required to have a front plate.

Re: Cigar boxes.
I picked neoprene because it is a closed cell material and will not absorb moisture.
Just curious, but wouldn't the foam found in gun/camera cases do the same (not absorb moisture)? I ask because I don't see local sources for neoprene sheeting. Thanks.
I would assume so. I just googled closed ...

Wait till you fire it, you'll be surprised at how well it handles for a small .45. I love mine and love to carry it also.

Re: Cigar boxes.
Thanks gentlepeople for the compliments. The interiors are 1/4" and 1/2" neoprene sheeting. I use two 1/4" sheets and one 1/2". The 1/4" pieces go on the bottom and I xacto cut away the material not needed for the cylinder and the handle and glue them together with RTV. I trace the pistol (unloaded ...

Cigar boxes.
Stumbling around eBay one day I found myself in the used cigar box isle and bought a couple to make better cases for my pistols when I am not carrying them. I rotate between a G17, P220, Kimber and SW442. So when not in use the gun needed a nice place to keep the dust off. These boxes fit great. I ...
