Re: Will you renew your CHL?

Yes because I get delays on my name, UPIN does not work nor does an SSN. I even got a denial once then had to get an FBI letter, ridiculous. I have 5 Class III Stamps and still get delays a lot. I won't buy from a dealer that calls it in anymore. The FBI letter I took back to the dealer and showed h...

Re: Question about red dots on pistols...

It could not be sighted in already. Manufacturere has no idea of caliber, barrel length, rifle, pistol, carbine, etc. Then there is the sighting distance...You might get lucky and it works first time.

Re: Question on traveling on AA with ammo in the suitcase

Here's what I did with AA: I put the firearm, mags, and a factory box of bullets in the pelican case. The bullets cannot be in the mags. I locked the Pelican case with non-TSA locks. I put the Pelican case inside a suitcase and locked the suitcase with TSA locks. I declared at the check in counter ...

Re: Had a Squib

My wife had a squib in her Canik TP9 and did not know. I found out when I went to clean it and the barrel had a slight bulge. Impressed with the quality of their barrels, would have never known if i hadn't opened it up. Needless to say we had a talk on slowing down when shooting and making sure it f...

Nope, plenty of people shot in the brain that are still alive. I think only a brainstem shot is instant and that is hard to do on a moving target.

Are you being sarcastic? I have 3 times that many loaded AR mags. Get 10 of them free with case of ammo sometimes and hate seeing them unloaded.

Re: 1911 with a 10 rd magazine?

I've always liked the look of the 1911 style pistol and, frankly, I've been looking for an excuse to buy one for some time. Problem is, it seems, is that few of them accommodate 10 round magazines. Thanks! All of the full size grips take 10 rd magazines. I use Chip McCormick and shooting star mags....

Re: Youtube blacklists NRA and GOA

Project Veritas released leaked Google documents in August which included a YouTube blacklist. Hotlink for the Youtube blacklist I'm no lawyer, but shouldn't that be grounds for a lawsuit if not a class action lawsuit? Not a lawyer either but youtube is a private site and the words are not protecte...

Re: Private gun sales

You dont have to legally but it is a good idea. If they roll up looking like a criminal and have out of state plates you should probably walk away. Most on this site just sell to people with LTC. A bill of sale is not needed but is advisable and you can politely ask for a license this way. You cant ...

Everybody mentioning the cost of the tools forgets that those tools have other uses. Unless it is specialized for only lowers then the cost can be amortized across many other projects. Never hurts to have a mill (until you move)...

Re: Beto visits gun show in Little Rock.

I'm with Scott Farkus in that the gun shows I went to at (primarily) the Will Rogers in Fort Worth had only a handful of sellers who weren't FFLs. Seemed that mostly the private sellers had a few mil-surp bolt-actions, "hunting" bolt-actions with scopes, maybe an older shotgun or two, and...

Re: “Universal” Background Checks Aren’t as Universally Popular as You’ve Been Led to Believe

I haven't been to a gun show in a couple of years now, but from what I remember, the only firearms being sold by private individuals (not licensed dealers) were mostly old revolvers and bolt action rifles. Quite a few were military surplus bolt actions like Springfields, Mausers, Arisakas, that sor...

Re: CA: Mass stabbing in SoCal, 4 dead 2 wounded

Apparently now all my kitchen knives are defective too since they haven't killed anyone. Just sent my mom an email to her asking about why someone needs an AR. She thinks I should be able to defend myself but .... I will patiently explain the tools necessary to defend myself to anyone. Same reason ...
