Re: Mass murder at a Church kills 32

Above seems to be more of a territorial dispute than a religious one.

Re: Report: More Than 1,700 Red Flag Orders in 2018

I understand the angst of these orders but realistically how do you handle a family member that is mentally deranged and armed? One that you actually fear may use a firearm to hurt themselves or others but one that you personally can not take their firearms. There are actually very bad people out t...

Re: A somewhat unique situation.

I don’t see how you can give up your rights prohibiting search and seizure based upon being employed. Refusal to allow a search may get you terminated, but you may win in court. I would ask for a search warrant. I understand there are exceptions such as working in a prison. Many entities try to get...

Re: Wear seat belts - even in the back seat!

While federal law mandated all vehicles be equipped with seat belts in 1968, the first state mandatory laws were not enacted until 84-85, and some as late as the mid-90s. Until then, there was no culture to wearing seat belts. I never did, until I was picking up a friend of mine at the airport in 1...

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Camp Verde, TX

I can't find a story on the murder without subscribing to the site, but I did find an article about the ranch, and the camels. http://history-sites.com/cgi-bin/bbs62x/txcwmb/webbbs_config.pl?md=read;id=11633 I was driving to a job in the Big Bend Park and was between Alpine and Marathon at about 4:...

Would the physical therapy place have prescription meds on site that the bad guys might be trying to steal?
None of the ones outside of a hospital that I went to.

Re: Who's Next?

"Am I the only one who thinks this "police state" situation is getting out of hand? Am I being unreasonable to think this is just getting crazy?" If the cop car that you saw happens to service "Lantana" - and they are paying for it - then I see it is probably a good thing. For many years, that comm...

Re: Don't Trust Your Life on Magpull Glock Mags

Magpul AR mags have been reliable. In fact they are so reliable, Magpul won a military contract with the Marines. Maybe it's just your Block, I mean Glock :biggrinjester: A military contract just means they were the cheapest. The bean counters don’t take “ real world “ functioning into account.

Re: Armed Robbery Stopped by LTC

I'm sort of surprised that a physical therapy office wasn't posted. Most offices in the medical field are. Maybe the LTC was outside the building? And secondly, how much was there to steal that "several men" wanted? I attended 4 rehabs. Two were either in a hospital or was a hospital. However, two ...

Saw a Western featuring Fred Mc Murry last night. A bad guy shot with a shotgun held by Waler Brenon flew at lest 20’off a horse.

Heck, 78% of people in TX approve of a Red Flag law for TX. May need to look up North somewhere.
Where did that stat come from? That seems awfully high to me
Polled reported on Austin news channel tonight. Showed 48% support expanded background checks.

Re: Gun control hearing in the Senate

I will withhold judgement at this time. Most of the Red Flag laws I have seen proposed do not. in my opinion. provide enough safeguards for the accused. too much area for vindictive ex-spouses, angry neighbors, or just plain old anti-gun folks to decide to go off on a gun owner who has done nothing...
