I have asked an LEO on this on and if you carry in a hospital you will go to JAIL
My best friend is a LEO. His words were, "Cops are the last guys to quote on the law."

Re: Anyone know of a CHL class in Spanish?
I wonder if there is not a niche market available for a bilingual instructor to offer classes in Spanish (or Vietnamese or Korean).
I was just talking to a fellow instructor about that very thing....the more packin' heat, the better I say.
We were talking through the logistics of it and the ...

Re: Anyone know of a CHL class in Spanish?
A little off topic, but anyway, as I said before my wife is Chinese and she picks up the Chinese news paper for the Dallas area there is a columnist, a female, in fact she is running for office in the area someplace, she wrote an article about how it is important for women to get a CHL and learn ...

Re: Anyone know of a CHL class in Spanish?
I did a search and at another TX gun forum they were talking about the same topic, the responses were about the same as here, however there was mention about the state may provide an interpreter. The thread was a couple years old and no links to where it might show the states offer. My wife is ...

I'd rather not turn this into a thread that must be moved to the Political Discussions thread.
Can I have my thread back?

And people wonder why there are unions.
Yeah...unions are doing a bang up job. The only thing I've ever seen unions do is promote bloated contracts, allow people to work less efficiently while demanding more money, allow for the production of inferior products, and decrease morale....but that's ...

Re: First time carrying
Glad you have a CHL, but you might want to rethink the only carry when you feel the need scenerio. I carry everywhere, including when I'm preaching in the pulpit, and at home till I go to bed...then it lays on the nightstand next to me. Someone has said "Carry 24/7 or be right 100% of the time ...

Re: Coyote Problems!!!
Plano is not out in the country... BTW. We are surrounded by other cities. These coyotes are coming out of a "greenbelt area" along the creek near my house. Please share if anyone knows if I can blast them in self defense.

Anyone know of a CHL class in Spanish?
I have a firearms student of mine that wants to get his CHL, but speaks only limited English. My Spanish is enough to get him through firearms classes but not a whole day of CHL material.
Any suggestions? He's in the DFW area but will travel within reason.
thanks!

Re: My student lost his CHL
Yeah, a couple of his buddies are taking my class. He was telling them about CHL laws and went to get his out of his dresser. :banghead:
Only then did he realize that he had no idea where it was and couldn't remember the last time he carried it (or the gun) but "thinks it was about 3-4 months ago ...

My student lost his CHL
Hola amigos,
My student lost his CHL a few months ago. I found in the Handbook where it says under GC 411.181:
(g) If a license is lost, stolen, or destroyed, the license holder shall apply for a duplicate license not later than the 30th day after the date of the loss, theft, or destruction of the ...

Hi guys,
I was the one who originally mis-interpreted that part of the Penal Code in a discussion with Russel on his site http://www.texas3006.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (a very cool site, btw).
Here's my response to him on his site.
