going out of business

Well gang, it's time to face facts and get out of the bullet casting game, it hasn't worked out here in Texas. I'm selling off all the equipment, so email me if you are interested in things like a Magma Bulletmaster MkV, the mould sets, the Lubemaster with the MA Systems bullet collator, etc.

RCBS .50 BMG Ammomaster Press complete

I have an RCBS .50 BMG Ammomaster press for sale, I bought it in fond hopes of having a .50 BMG rifle before my life fell apart, and it's not looking now like I'm ever going to be able to afford one. This press is new, never used once, includes the dies and all the goodies that go with it. $500 ...

for reloaders who cast their own

If I may share this with those of you who cast your own, or are just starting to:

My continuing learning experience as a commercial caster has recently taught me that casting with an alloy that is more than 5% antimony is a tricky business. I'm using a 6% antimony and 2% tin alloy currently, and ...

255 grain LSWC'S sized .451

So this guy stops by and orders 1500 of these bullets, tells me he'll be back Sunday to pick them up, then never shows. So I thought I'd offer them on here. They are hand cast, which I don't do anymore, and wouldn't have done this time except money is really tight and I didn't have the mould set for ...

Re: progressive press

I'm seriously considering buying a progressive press, using a single-stage is starting to be too tedious. I'm really hesitant to just go buy one, it's a LOT of cash for me to drop. I wanted to see if anyone had one they might be willing to let me try? If not, what would be the best deal for someone ...

Scrounging brass at the range is a good way to get all you need over time. I've got tons of it that way.

Open carry was something I just loved about Arizona. You can just get out of the truck with a 1911 on your hip and a couple magazines on the other hip, and go about your business while getting some real doubletakes from people around you, but no one is going to *say* anything about it. Nor is anyone ...

How about shows? Do you lose money by taking a table at gun shows and selling bagged bullets? If you can at least break even, then I'd suggest hitting every show you can, to build your visibility and reputation.

Best wishes for good business!

Kevin

Well shows are good, but I usually just ...

Hey Amy,

Forgive my ignorance of cast bullets, I use 'em and load em and shoot 'em, but know nothing else about them. Are your bullets any softer/harder than say Speer LSWC's, in regards to leading up a barrell any faster or slower in a shooting session?

Also, can I use the same load (4.3 grn ...

Well LT, things have been pretty hard here, no orders in weeks, and it's been hard. That's about all I can say about it. Might have to go out of business and get a job in a convenience store. Not liking that idea at all.

Finally got control of my website

I've finally regained control of my website after two webmasters vanished on me. I've updated the information on it and it's at http://www.prettygoodbullets.com

My local PD has asked me if I could sell them ammo for qualifying and practice. What's involved in getting the blessing of the BATF?
