Re: Parkland survivor David Hogg

I just saw this story that was put out December 4th. A security guard at the school saw the shooter entering the school with a rifle bag and recognized him as a kid who would likely be "the one to shoot up the school" one day. https://www.ammoland.com/2018/12/cowardice-at-parkland-shooting-security...

Re: TX: Pair shot while breaking into vehicles

I just got word that the prosecutor has decided not to take the case to a grand jury. The two people did not get shot for burglary, they got shot for trying to run me over. I kept from commenting just in case. I still don't want to get into details for the same reason, but will say had they just dr...

Maybe the French need to hire Americans to handle their security full-time?

Re: TX: In Dallas, call 911, where help can be only 2. 5 hours away

What so many people don't realize about being robbed is that once the badguys have your wallet/purse, they have your ID with your name and address. They can and often do threaten to visit you later. And the likelihood that police will provide you and your family 24/7 protection after a robbery is ab...

Dial 911 and Die Dial 911 and Die is a book that will open your eyes and possibly even save your life, or the life of someone you love. It should be required reading for anyone who doesn't realize that he has primary, if not sole, responsibility for protecting and defending himself. And it's a wond...

Re: Germans More Interested in Self Defense

Sad that in that country one needs a government license to carry a non-lethal self defense tool. Apparently in Germany a citizen's life is only worth defending if the government grants them special permission. Hey don't knock it. At least the Germans allow for such thingss. In UK even non leathal s...

Re: Bill Clinton's Mentor: Widespread ownership of Firearms creates democracy

In Tragedy and Hope Prof Quigley states: The medieval period in which the best weapon was usually a mounted knight on horseback (clearly a specialist weapon) was a period of minority rule and authoritarian government. Even when the medieval knight was made obsolete (along with his stone castle) by t...

Re: Bill Clinton's Mentor: Widespread ownership of Firearms creates democracy

Prof. Quigley discusses the foundation of democracy further: (3) that men have a psychological readiness to accept majority rule in return for those civil rights which will allow any minority to work to build itself up to become a majority. Men do not have a psychological readiness to accept mob ru...

Re: Bill Clinton's Mentor: Widespread ownership of Firearms creates democracy

As widespread ownership of firearms is fundamental to democracy and the suppression of authoritarianism, I am a big advocate of not allowing the taxation of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. There is legal support for this: The Supreme Court has stated that "the power to tax involves the power ...

Re: Germans More Interested in Self Defense

“More private weapons do not create more security,” said Irene Mihalic, a spokeswoman for Germany’s Green Party Studies show more guns in the hands of law abiding citizens equal less crime. Fewer private weapons create more authoritarianism. Honestly I think Germany has had more than enough authori...

The 3rd Circuit's decision explicitly shows that as a group they are a Second-rate court. How hard is it to have a court that follows the law?

Authoritarians of various stripes murdered 262,000,000 disarmed people in democides in the 20th Century. Eric Swalwell sounds like he fantasizes about to joining the ranks of Hitler, Stalin and Mao. Time to take action before he gets the chance: Censure Rep. Eric Swalwell For Threatened to "Nuke" Gu...
