Re: What a drag - Garland civic center posted

I just wanted to remind everyone (that is not familiar with Garland) this is the same location that the "Draw Mohamad" incident occurred. Luckily, the two terrorist never made it inside because it has been posted since day one. :tiphat:

Re: S&W Rebate

On the plus side the trigger on the .45 really smooths out after 100+ fires

:iagree: It's still a bit stiff for my tastes, but mine has smoothed out nicely after 200 rounds and a LOT of dry fires.

I sat dryfiring over and over it's much better, the first range trip it was way too stiff.
It's ...

Re: S&W Rebate

Just an FYI, I submitted my rebate online on May 1 and I just got the rebate check in the mail Monday.

:woohoo At least we know they are printing checks!

At the rate they're going, maybe they are writing them out by hand.

Better be in calligraphy

Re: The 1911 plunge

Don't let the cheap price on the rock islands fool you, the 9mm one I have may have a couple rough edges on the finish but it fits tighter than the ruger I have and feels more solid

Re: stiff belts

I ordered a wilderness tactical from brownells, had to get a new shoe for my sight pusher anyway. Hopefully I can report back in a week.

I love my Minotaur belt but it's so stiff I can't loop it through most owb holsters and it's too thick for some of them ....iwb it's perfect

Re: S&W Rebate

I received my check today. Just a word of caution; be careful when checking your mail for the rebate because it's not in what I thought a check would be mailed in. It's a small 3½ X 6½ window envelop and the check inside is the same size as the envelop. Nothing indicates it is from S&W.

Re: Time for a Shield!

Finally got my shield 45 out to the range, ran it side by side with the 9mm.
I found the trigger on the 45 to be heavier or more accurately stiffer (might loosen some over time )
Shoots just as good as the 9mm with just a hair more recoil, after 50rounds the aggressive grip texture will certainly ...
