I just picked up a couple more Ruger 22/45s. I have 4 and they are all the models with the "shark gills".......One of the new ones is a Muddy Girl Camo and I just don't care for it. Looked great on the website but I don't like the patterning on this one.....but that's just ME....others may disagree.
Anyway, I am selling it right away because I don't care for the Muddy Girl pattern plus it has the tightest mainspring pinI have EVER seen. I fieldstrip my other 22/45s in nothing flat but it took me forever to get the mainspring pin out at which time I decided to forget the field strip and I put it back together, again with MUCH effort to get that pin to seat. Perhaps the barrel needed adjustment but I didn't want to mess with removing the barrel from the frame. Perhaps someone who is stronger or more experienced with Ruger 22/45s won't have an issue, I don't know. But be forewarned: this one is a tight tight gun.....you may need to work on it a little to smooth those parts out for a nice snug fit (but not too tight like they are now). I wouldn't even mind doing that but as I said, I'm not fond of the Muddy Girl Camo so I'll just sell outright.
So.........this is a brand new gun and the only handling of it was taking the takedown pin in an out.
Purchased from Davidson's (it's a Davidson's exclusive I believe) and had it shipped to Front Sight in McKinney (they were the least expensive out of all the dealer's close to me). I paid $450.43 and picked it up today (7/31)
.
Comes with 2 magazines, lock, manual, black zipper pouch, etc.
FACE TO FACE sale to buyer with a TXCHL: $350
Thanks for looking.
