Poll for 4 Hr CHL Class Cost
Round up if your dollar cost is not shown. Trying to get a feel for prevailing prices. Flame suit on....I know.. "you get what you pay for" and all those other standard answers. Class and range fees included.

Re: Poll for 4 Hr CHL Class Cost
My apologies. I thought the poll question was how much would, not did. I haven't taken a 4 hr. class so my answer should be disregarded.

What I find very interesting is the amount of people that use Groupon for CHL classes and pack in as many people as possible. I have seen the classes as low as $39.00 plus range fees and travel to the range. With the instructors having to give half plus any credit card fees back to Groupon I wonder if it is actually worth it. To me personally I would never attend any class that had over 10 people in it as the class quality would not be what I want. Large classes tend to limit the ability to ask the questions that I would want answered when the topic was being covered.

Mine was 50.00 but it was only a thing he was doing for a couple classes last summer trying to get more business, went back up to the usual 80.00 he was charging and haven't seen any specials like that this summer. Used the local police range so no charge for that.

Re: Poll for 4 Hr CHL Class Cost
Can you specify what services you are providing? If we are going to compare apples to apples this is important. I know some instructors who charge on the higher end of the scale but I think they are a one stop shop including range fee and finger printing in their price. I've seen some adds were they actually include the ammo as part of a package deal.
If I am attending a scheduled class with a number of people in it I'm not likely to pay more than $50 just for the talk. If the instructor is doing me and a buddy or two a solid and setting up a special class in my living room I'd obviously pay more per head for the talk.

$60.
6-11pm on a Wednesday night (we tested in groups of 8 during the class, so with a big class it ran 5 hours instead of 4). It probably works the same time wise if you get one of those deals where you have to go back at a later time to qualify.
May not be for you if you just want the info, but I thought it was a great way to get everything done all at once.
