BOLO for idiots with a death wish.
Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.
There is no safety in denial. When seconds count the Police are only minutes away.
Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

If this had been in Texas it would have ended something like this.

"Upon arrival to the theater the police had to remove irate movie goers off of the pranksters. After rescuing the pranksters from the crowd, they were delivered from the scene in an ambulance."

But was it a "no leaf blower" zone?

That's a best case scenario. Given the recent incidents, I'd say there's a pretty good chance the "pranksters" are removed by the coroner.

IDK, but I've never seen a "No Leaf Blower" sign.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

“People started screaming, and everybody got up and started running, like fight-or-flight, and some lady pushed me and I fell on the ground, and like seven or eight people trampled over my leg, and over my head.”

I don't think most Texans would be screaming like the moviegoers in Newport Beach.

Maybe they would be screaming "get down, get down" to the people who were in their line of fire.

Back in my day a prank was a prank. Now it's an act of terrorism, when I was in high school about five of us toilet papered a teachers house. The police weren't called it didn't make the news.

I understand that anything that happens in a movie theater puts everyone in edge but that's probably why the boys did it.

The word "prank" is a euphemism for causing others pain.

At the heart of every so-called prank is malicious intent. The so-called "prankster" gets to laugh at the expense of innocent people's suffering. Yeah, that's really funny stuff.

When their acts are pointed out to be evil, so-called "pranksters" respond with their lame excuse that those who cry "FOUL" have no sense of humor.

Their sickening acts should land them in prison.

A harmless prank is one thing. This was just outright stupidity. They knew exactly what they were going to cause.

:iagree: This is equivalent [probably worse] to yelling fire in a crowded theater.

It's not a matter of stupidity per se, it's a lack of consideration regarding what harm their actions might cause.
