New applicant

Post by jamessjeep »

first I live in Harris County Texas, I took the CHL class on May 6 , I did the prints and DPS payment prior to, I called the number at end of May to just check if all my stuff was in and I didn't miss anything. It is now 8/28. Should I just wait longer? or call back? I read others comments on here when I can and they seem to already have theirs reading their time periods they had to wait. any suggestions?

Hi jamessjeep, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you with us! :tiphat:

I would definitely call DPS. If DPS had all your paperwork by end of May, you should have heard something by now.

No, it's not to much to ask! Keep calling until you speak to a live person. Persistence will pay off.

Sounds like you applied as indigent. Never call on a Monday, call early in morning at like 7-9am mid week, or like 5-7pm Wed/Thurs.
