I join in the wish for a great Thanksgiving Day for everyone. Be sure to eat too much, as required on this particular day, but may we take a moment to remember those whose efforts make our celebration possible.
I have a special prayer request. My niece got married just under seven weeks ago on Oct. 8th. Her father died when she was only ten years old and I've been somewhat of a Dad to her for many years. I had the bitter-sweet honor to walk her down the aisle at her wedding. This Saturday her new husband deploys to Iraq for 13 months. Please remember both Charlie and Amber in your prayers; he for the Lord's protection and guidance and both for the strength and courage to face this time of separation and anxiety.
May the Lord bless you all,
Chas.

Great "Turkey Week" for me. Daughter & her family live here. Son & family here for the whole week. He is in the Air Force. Grandkids everywhere. My Mother is healthy & active. Four generations in the house & yard. Had 3 generations at the range today. Tomorrow the Matriarch is scheduled to go w/ us. She finished shopping yesterday
in all that mad rush. They decorated last night so I will be the 1st to say Merry Christmas too. Send a troop a Christmas card.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Sounds as if it has been a blessed week. Pass on another thank you to your son for his service.
Our thanks giving was nice. Went to my wife's Grandmother's. We too have four generations in the house. The youngest is 2 and the oldest is 82. Unfortunately, not range trip. Too many bleeding heart liberals. I was packing though. Shhhhhhh! I told the wife that I wasn't.

Great post Longtooth and it sounds like an even better Thanksgiving Day! Unfortunately, we had only 3 generations at our home - our two sons are falling down on the job.
As dws1117 said, tell you son thanks for his service. Being of Vietnam war vintage (but not a veteran), it's great to see people showing our service men and women the respect they deserve.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day.
Regards,
Chas.
