CHL vs LTC

Post by The Annoyed Man »

Quick question.....

My current plastic expires on 10/05/17, 22 months after the law changes on 1/1/16. I would imagine that there are a lot of us in that position. Do we continue to carry on our current CHL until expiration, or is the state going to issue new plastic to active license holders come the end of the year?

I'm fine either way; I'm just curious.

DPS will not issue a new license until your current license expires. You will be able to open carry with your current CHL, come Jan 1.

If you don't want to wait till renewal for your LTC, you can pay the $25 fee for a replacement license.
