Long wait for plastic to arrive.

Post by G.A. Heath »

On June 26 my status changed to "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" but I still have not seen the plastic. So has anyone here had a similarly long wait for their plastic to arrive?

Yes, people have. Whoever does the mailing sometimes puts two licenses in one envelope.

I would call DPS in this situation.

Also once the envelope leaves the CHL bureau, it can take up to three business days to hit the US Mail. DPS does bulk mailing, and limits the amount going out each day.

With the fourth holiday in there, I'd wait a little more.

I was planning to wait until the mail hits the post office on wed before contacting the DPS.

My status changed on June 21 but the card did not arrive until June 28th. The postmark on the enveloped read June 25th.

I don't think you have anything to worry about yet. I think you will agree that the wait after the status change is much worse than the wait when the application is still processing.

Well, the Plastic would have been in my hand on the second, except the post office delivered it to the wrong PO BOX which happened to belong to a lady in her late 70s. I just finished checking my mail when the lady comes over and asked it that was my PO Box, after answering yes she goes out to her car and brings the critical envelope, some junk mail, and a letter that was returned as undeliverable.

I'll be. This is the first time I have ever heard of the Postal Service delivering anything to a wrong address.

I do recollect a local day care center around here delivering an infant to the wrong parents though. (added later).
