Has anyone been to this theater?
DALLAS, TX
UA Galaxy Theatre Stadium 10
11801 McCree Road
Dallas, TX 75238
1-(844)-462-7342 ext.659
The corporate policy is no guns, but they aren't listed on Texas3006.com. Three of their theaters are, but all three seem to have non-compliant signs.

Guess I'll have to drive there and take a look.

They are part of the Regal Group so I bet they do have a sign. I would be happy to be wrong about that!

I've been there but it was back in 1999, so no clue about signage. However if it's part of the Regal group it is probably posted. Now whether the sign is valid or not who knows. However if it isn't a huge rush I could probably swing by there tomorrow and take a look for you. I live not to far up the road from it.

So is it typical for movie theaters in TX to have signs?
Re: Has anyone been to this theater?
it seems that as independent and small chains are overcome by the large corporate chains that have no guns policies it has gotten to the point in many areas where they all are posted (perhaps not in accordance with the law).Soap wrote:So is it typical for movie theaters in TX to have signs?

Re: Has anyone been to this theater?
I mostly frequent Cinemark theaters, that do not have 30.06 signs posted. Some or most of the UA theaters I've heard are posted and I've seen one or two myself, but the signs were small and no where near the size required. As for others, sorry, but I haven't been to any others since before CHL (1995).Soap wrote:So is it typical for movie theaters in TX to have signs?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Re: Has anyone been to this theater?
Since I started paying attention I don't think I have seen a compliant sign on any theatres around me, even if their website says otherwise...

Re: Has anyone been to this theater?
Honestly, the only 30.06 signs I've seen at theaters personally have been Regal theaters. Although I know of one Regal theater that is not properly posted.Soap wrote:So is it typical for movie theaters in TX to have signs?
I mainly frequent Cinemark and Alamo, though, both of which are not posted.

I'm near San Antonio too. I just moved here a few months ago. Is the Alamo the one that sells alcohol? Good to know it doesn't have a sign, I can DD. hahamr1337 wrote:Honestly, the only 30.06 signs I've seen at theaters personally have been Regal theaters. I'm actually in Austin, but yeah, Alamo sells food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) and they're a great company. They're strict on their "no talking" policy and they actually enforce it. Never had an issue there like I have with generic theaters.Soap wrote:I'm near San Antonio too. I just moved here a few months ago. Is the Alamo the one that sells alcohol? Thanks. I'll be going there on the 30th to see Ride the Thunder, a movie about the Vietnam War. My friend Richard Botkin wrote the book and produced the movie, so this is a must see for me.Jago668 wrote:I've been there but it was back in 1999, so no clue about signage. If you do go by, let me know. I was figuring I'd have to drive by there in the next few days.

I know most AMC theaters are posted. Now whether they are compliant or not is another story.
