Instructor Spam?

Post by sjfcontrol »

I have received a couple of emails that appear to be spam, directed at firearms instructors. Perhaps fishing for a credit card scam. The last contained the single line...
hello Good day. Temmy Cole ,i will like to know if you render Firearm Training services and if you accept credit card for payments?
The first message contained a destination list that appeared to be (maybe) taken from the DPS list of CHL instructors.

Just wondering if anybody else has received similar, and if anybody has figured out what they're after.

It appears they are asking more about firearms training than concealed handgun licensing.

My email, and went to about 6 other instructors, claimed he was hearing impaired. That's good. He didn't hear my comment. :grumble

I get them all the time, except they are soliciting for a website and want to know if I take credit cards. Most of them came through texting. That's one of the main reasons I got a new phone number the other day.
