To answer your question in a word: NO.
Now then, if you have ready access to other employment, you might want to bring the question up to the main most boss.
Should I carry or not?

Exactly. Personally, as long as they don't give you oral notice, you are not violating the law by carrying anyway. You can be fired, but you can't be arrested. So you have to decide whether it is worth the risk of losing your job, and only you can decide that, but you're not breaking the law if you do..........unless you ask and then receive verbal notice.Charles L. It was handed out after several years of employment but before I got my chl. It does say no guns even with chl. I think talking to him would result in "what does the handbook say?" and that would be the end of that along with possibly being watched.
So, at this point, I am thinking "don't ask, don't tell." I just need to weigh out what kind of "disciplinary action" I may receive if found out. I feel that termination would not happen. Properly concealed, employer should never know.
I guess my biggest issue is having to choose between my right to protect myself and employment. And this is a rather large issue for me.

You have to decide and take your chances either way.
Re: Should I carry or not?
I worked for a Architect with the no gun policy in their handbook. I was on a trip to our Dallas office with my boss which had moved into a bad neighborhood. As we were walking 5 blocks to the office he asked if I was carrying. In conformance to company policy I lied and told him no. Concealed is concealed.

Dead or jobless. Not a tough question for me. I would, and have in the distant past, carried despite the "company rules". Never got made. Concealed means concealed.

Re: Should I carry or not?
There has been very good input on this subject. That is what I am looking for.
The two things that ring the loudest are:
"oral notice triggers TPC §30.06 and no special verbiage is required" = Don't ask.
"Concealed means concealed" = Don't tell.
Thanks to everyone for your input so far.
