Current PPO and CSO but CHL expired

Post by tree »

Hi All and Thanks in Advance,
I think I have dropped the ball. Here is my problen, I am a PPO and a CSO through my church, I never even thought about looking at my CHL and seeing that it expired on my birthday is 1/2014.
Here are my question.

1) What must I do to renew my CHL or will the PPO and CSO with Registration both with issue dates of 5-14-2013 and exp. dates of 5-14-2017 suffice.
My CHL expired 1-31-2014.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Your security licenses are only good when you are on duty. I too am part of our church's security team but also have my CHL. Without your CHL you are limited to MPA (Motorist Protection Act) to carry in your vehicle.

You will have to apply for a new CHL since it has been almost two years since yours expired (class and shooting proficiency). I couldn't find the applicable statute, but if I remember you have 6 months to renew after it expires. Someone will chime in soon if I'm incorrect.
