Can they do this? Could we also make a complaint to the AG?

if it is pure court-houses, posting 30.06 is unnecessary

A cross check on the address shows appraisal offices, taxes, court clerk (which is NOT the actual court room so can't be placed off limits from what the Governor's office said). I only have that search to go on, but sure seems to be multiuse to me and should then have a complaint filed as soon as the signage is posted. Probably worth a trip for you to check out the building directory.

the court clerk is offices of and used by the court, however the probation office, tax assessor and so forth are not, so its multi use and according to the governor(previous) AG is that it cannot be entirely off limits the current AG has not given an opinion as of yet and may not do so. I agree that 30.06 is unnecessary if it is truly a courthouse and the courts and offices used by the courts are statutorily off limits, but the rest of the building is not. so again file the complaint

There is an AG opinion requested by Hays county that will clear this up, once it is issued. Hays county wishes to 30.06 post an entire multi purpose building because some of the building is a court room and off limits by statute. The opinion is expected to be issued in January.
