Ugly story. Six men participated in a home invasion/kidnapping/rapes/assaults. Two women were raped, a man with braces on legs was confined, and one of the women was shot twice in the leg for trying to escape.

One of the six thugs testified against the others and pleaded guilty to rape, criminal deviate conduct, and robbery. Four were tried together and convicted of numerous felonies; three were sentenced to 248 years in prison, one to 380. The sixth thug is being held on Texas on unrelated charges (unless he did something worse here, we should send him back).

Some of these guys are also facing charges in another home invasion five days earlier that also featured confinement, robbery, sexual battery, and other crimes.

"Unexpectedly" all have long criminal records and histories of violating prison rules and court orders. Also failed rehabilitation.

It's a crying shame that prison sentences no longer include, "at hard labor".

The shame is that these women were not armed and proficient. Even if they had a just a handgun with 7 shots each, that would be average 2 shots per thug with a couple misses. God have mercy on the thug that breaks in on my wife.
