Police/Citizen Meeting in Longview this weekend

Post by thetexan »

There will be three meetings held at the Maude Cobb Activity Center in Longview conducted by the Longview PD with local citizens invited. The purpose will be to discuss the upcoming Jan 1st open carry advent and to answer questions anyone may have. I guess this will be an effort to help prepare folks to begin seeing people carrying sidearms.

I intend to attend all three because I'd love to hear the question people have and I'd like to get a feel for how LPD is going to handle things.

The times are Saturday the 19th at 10am, Monday the 21st at 6pm and Tuesday the 22nd at 6pm.

Anyone in the area might find it enlightening to attend.

Would like to attend, but, I have conflicting appointments for all three times. Could you please provide a synopsis of the discussion (for any of them)?
