New Texas open carry question (I'm from Louisiana)
I have a Louisiana CHL now but frequently still visit Texas. Does reciprocity with Texas allow me to open carry as well under the new Texas law with A Louisiana CHL?

Just make sure you don't start until 1/1/16 and you should be good to go. If you are in a large city (Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio etc.), do not be surprised if you have a few friendly encounters with the local gendarmes to ensure your license is legitimate though.

Good deal! Thanks. I figured since I was subject to Texas law with my Louisiana CHL I would have the same rights just as I'd have the same restrictions.
I don't plan on doing it much, but on a warm night or day when I don't want to wear a coat or stuff a gun under a shirt for a walk around the subdivision in Houston I can now just slip in a belt holster
