30.07 posted. Can employees still open carry?

So, out local indoor range has already posted their 30.07 sign. However, their employees behind the counter are all open carrying. Once 30.07 comes into effect tomorrow, are their employees violating the law? I don't recall seeing anything in the statutes that permits an employer to prohibit carry in their establishment but still allow employees to open carry.

Now, I probably won't be returning there anyways due to the sign posting, but I am curious about the answer to this question.

I am always dumbfounded by the decisions made by some the gun community. Like not allowing open carry at a gun range. Really?

You would think that gun shops and shooting ranges and others in the industry who sell such related goods and services would be 100% supportive of any pro-2A measure.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

I am a member of a range that allows CC but won't allow OC. I can see if they don't want allow quick draw from holster fire but just to have a holstered OC gun? What's the difference between OC and CC? Besides one you can see, one you can't. It's still a loaded gun carried on your body.

It's mostly a self policing outdoor range, there isn't always an official RSO on duty or at every firing line, people mostly are there own RSO's and look out for each other.

I see people are carrying rifles and handguns openly in hand shooting stuff all the time.

I can sell you a gun, ammo, magazines. You can shoot them at the range. You just can't be seen carrying any of it.

However, posting 30.07 is a pretty specific law, and it doesn't seem like there are any exceptions written into it such as "no open carry except for people I want." It seems like an all or nothing deal to me. Regardless of its legality, I think it's pretty [profanity deleted - don't do it again] to post that sign and have your employees OC...especially at a firearms related business.

A property owner can permit anyone they wish to carry openly or concealed and they can simultaneously prohibit anyone they wish from carrying openly or concealed. Nothing about TPC §30.07 limits this discretion.

However, it is all-or-nothing in terms of a loaded v. unloaded handgun.
