What are you seeing at 7-Eleven?

Post by mdubtx »

Well... I was afraid we will be seeing more of this. I have been relieved not to have seen much of it yet though.

My local 7-Eleven has never posted until now. They have non-compliant 30.06 & 30.07 signs printed on 8.5"x11" paper taped to the entrances. They look temporary while something more permanent is on the way??

I searched Google, the corporate site, and our forum for word on their policy [albeit a quick search] and did not find anything official. I did find an article from last year that painted them in a pretty anti-gun light though. Also, an article form Dallas saying they had not received a response from 7-Eleven on their plans. What are you seeing around the state so far?

I did use the "contact us" form on the 7-Eleven website to ask them myself and advise them I would not be a customer of their 30.06 posted locations.
May we never haver to draw but always be prepared.

I'm sure in the next week this forum will be flooded with invalid sign posts. I'm a new CHL'er but from what I've read, CHL was never a big deal. Now that you can see the guns, it has a much bigger impact.

No 7-11 in my area, but none of the local stop and robs I have been to and around lately have anything posted.

Only the traditional "unlicensed possession, blah blah blah TABC notice" signs that have always been there.

Went to fill up my truck just now and OCd into 7-11 to get a bag of ice while I was there.

No sign, no one cared (same as it's been all weekend).

South Arlington area. I bet it's not a corporate thing, just a local fear monger.

If you are suggesting that ignoring valid 30.06 signs is acceptable, you won't last long on this forum. That is a violation of rule #4.

I frequent 7-11 thats at the end of my street in a not-so-great neighborhood, haven't seen a sign yet. If one comes up ill have to reconsider going there as convenient as it is for me being so close. I wouldn't be in that store without protection, and honestly doubt they'll post. I'm sure they know they need what protection they can get and an LTC patron is it.
