how long is my application good for.

I took my chl class back in April but life got in the way of sending my paperwork to the state is my paperwork still good or do I have to take the class over again.

The CHL-100 completion certificate is good for 24 months. The DPS application process must be completed, start to finish, in 12 months. So when you finish step one of the DPS application, you have 12 months to get all of the rest of it in. One of those things is the certificate which has a 2 year shelf life.
Once it is all in and they have received all parts back to them such as background and fingerprints AND you are found to be eligible for the license, they have 60 to issue it to you.
