BBVA - No Postings At All! & Positive Experience

Post by Glockster »

I have had BBVA account for about a year, but when I opened it I did that with the branch in Spring and have only been through the drive-thru since I started banking in a branch in The Woodlands. Went inside this morning for a quick deposit and thought that I'd verify that the typical postings would be on the door and much to my surprise there is NONE. No 30.06, no 30.07 and not even a gunbusters. I mentioned to the manager that I was pleased to see that and she told me that she made the decision to not post. We discussed how places that ban guns may well then become targets as....and before I could finish the sentence she said, "gun free zones." She then went on to say that she knew all about that and was determined that it wouldn't happen at her branch. She said that perhaps one day a bank regulator from their HQ might come and might notice no signage and might say something and might require her to post, but until then she said she's not saying a word and will not put up a sign. I have to tell you, I wanted to ask if she was single. But I believe that I'm going to have to do a whole lot more of my banking with BBVA vs. other banks that I have accounts at and who all post. I said that the next time I intended to carry and she said that she looked forward to seeing me again. I did a search here and found nothing previously posted about BBVA and so thought that I'd share this.

My State Rep Hubert won't tell me his position on HB560. How about yours?

Now that sounds like pretty timely, and good, advice for us all, eh?
