PT145 Trigger pull

Post by LM23 »

Have shot a friends PT145 a couple of times. It seems to have an extended "pull" length on the trigger. I have a Glock (not intended to be a post to start a debate over brands) that has a really quick, short pull trigger.

Is there a way to get the trigger on a PT145 worked on to give it the same type "feel"? I need a quick reacting trigger, back in my days of shooting trap I had get a release trigger in my BT99+ to ease the flinch problem and I can feel the flinch happening with the longer pull of the Taurus.

Thanks.

Some say they get better with use, but I would think maybe a weaker trigger spring might do the trick a lot sooner.

As far as the travel distance I think thats part of the double action to cock and shoot.

Take it to a gunsmith and see what they can do for it.

LM - While there is in fact a tremendous amont of knowledge to be gleaned from the folks on this site you might want to also look for suggestions from the people at

http://www.taurusarmed.net/

Im sure this has been addressed there to the nth degree.
