Amarillo City Council
Apparently someone on staff decided that it would be a swell idea to post 30.06 and 30.07 the city council meetings. This was done without discussion or the knowledge of at least a good portion of the council and certainly was never on an agenda nor voted on by the council. I have been attending the meetings for almost a year and I've always carried. Needless to say I didn't say what I had prepared to say during public commentary.

What do you think prompted them to post the meetings at this point in time?

Honestly not a clue. Only thing I can guess is that one of the fairly senior city staff is blatantly anti. This was not discussed by the council at all. I put in an information request Tuesday night to find out.

Inside of a larger story posted a little bit ago the newspaper is saying it was city management that decided to post the signs. This next weeks meeting is going to be fun.
