What the attorney said leads to one logical conclusion: he's not pro-gun. He is either wrong about the law or deliberating misconstruing it. If he was pro-gun he'd take the time to get it right (he could be pro-gun and just be a lazy incompetent attorney...but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt). I suspect he's anti-gun and didn't bother to get the law right because he was predisposed to interpret it as it suited his ideology....or he knows better and is merely using his position to further the anti-gun agenda. If he's not anti-gun, or pro-gun, he's an incompetent attorney.
The law is vast and complicated. I don't expect all competent attorneys to know all of it....but a competent attorney should know what he doesn't know.

Yes, this is an area where the church and I differ. I carry in my church as it wasn't posted in the past and I'll check again tomorrow/soon. While my senior pastor hasn't said anything about carrying in church, he has made clear his views on guns (he likes 'em and ain't giving 'em up). Concealed means concealed.

We too are Methodists. I'd be more than a lot surprised to hear that come from the pulpit in our small town church but if and when it does, it will be time for the Oldgringo and his CC.
I suspect the anti-gun stance is probably not limited to the Methodists and Catholics?
Best wishes,
Greg
To you as well. No postings at my church this morning and I CCed.
