Sheepdog Seminar, Fort Worth

Post by The Annoyed Man »

If anybody is interested: http://www.sheepdogsafetytraining.com/f ... tx-seminar

This is the ONLY Texas date on their 2016 schedule.

Saturday, January 23rd, 8am to 5pm at:
  • Harvest Baptist Church
    7200 Denton Highway
    Fort Worth, Texas 76148
The speakers are:
  • Lt. Col. Dave Grossman
  • Police Officer and Minister Jimmy Meeks
  • Carl Chinn
More information including cost and online registration are on the website. We're having a East DFW get together for BBQ and shooting on the east side of the metroplex that day, so unless that group wants to cancel to attend this event, I will not be going, but I thought there might be others who would be interested.

If someone wants to buy a table I'll buy a seat

I posted this over on the East DFW meet up thread. Maybe we can get enough interest to do this instead, in which case filling a table will be no problem at all. We can always do the BBQ/Range day a week later, but since I've already committed to that group, I don't want to change plans unless everyone in that group wants to change plans.

We'll see.

I've had the blessing of attending one of Lt. Col. Grossman's seminars. Well worth it. I wish I was closer.

There's another one scheduled for Feb 9 in Brownwood, TX and one in Oklahoma City sometime in February. I'm game to put together a group to go to either one. They're both a 3 hour drive from me. http://www.sheepdogsafetytraining.com/f ... x-seminar/

I would love to attend! Unfortunately, I have to help run our IDPA match.

Anyone who can attend should do so.

That's good. I didn't see the Brownwood date on the list yesterday afternoon when I posted this thread. I'd love to do either one. Like you, Brownwood and OKC are about the same amount of drive time for me.

I'd love to go to the OKC date as part of a group. it looks like we have at least 3 of us so far. Can we get that date and pencil it in on our calendars while we work toward a larger number? I'm happy with a group of 5.

Does anyone know about carry prohibitions at the Sheepdog Seminar location? It is not listed in Texas3006.com.

oljames3, there are no signs posted at the sanctuary entrances. But, they operate an accredited K-12 private school, Harvest Academy. I admit that I need to brush up since it's not a part of my routine. Does that keep us from carrying?
