They Gave Me a Rifle.

Post by Liberty »

I retired last week, and on my last day, they presented me with a 308 Ruger Gunsite Scout. with a stainless barrel. Sweet!! I own a couple of handguns, but haven't, shot a rifle in over 20 years, and never owned a true high power rifle. I've only shot a few rounds out of it but I'm pretty happy with how it shoots, and handles and look forward getting more familiar with it.

:coolgleamA: it's a great gun, I love shooting mine. I have a 1×4 scope on it. It's like the bolt action im not afraid to shoot the daylights out of. Enjoy it and the retired life. :txflag:

Congrats on retirement and one of the best retirement gifts I've heard of.

Enjoy your retirement. I can't wait for mine. But I'm sure I won't get anything that amazing as a going away gift.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

I want to do more volunteer work, and my wife has a huge honey do list, I will also spend a lot more time at the range,
So far I've been keeping real busy, and I am now starting to wonder how I ever had time to go to my job

A very nice present indeed.
It seems obvious to me that your co-workers know you well and spent a lot of time and thought selecting an appropriate gift for you.
Enjoy your retirement Liberty. :patriot: :txflag:

Congratulations! I retired on 12/31 too, and I couldn't be happier.

And you're going to like that RGS. They are handy little rifles.

VERY cool retirement gift. Much better than the proverbial "gold watch". Enjoy the rifle, and retirement.
