One can only hope the idea catches on.

Re: Arizona carry tax credit
I think that would be a great idea in Texas, perhaps even more tax incentives if you take additional training courses above and beyond the requirements for LTC, I would also like to see a tax credit for the purchase of handguns, and ammo for LTC holders.

Texas doesn't have an income tax, so I am not sure what they would give you a credit against.
Also, my personal goal is for the government to quit "taxing" me for my right to carry period!!

I was not clear about the term "tax credit' I was really referring to a sales tax reduction on the items for sale. Also a reduction on the fees charged for LTC.

I would even propose a property tax credit for LTC holders, since we as a group have proven ourselves to be less likely to commit crimes, our burden on the court systems is greatly reduced.

I agree 100% with the sale tax reduction. LTC fees shouldn't be reduced, they should be eliminated!Jusme wrote:steveincowtown wrote:Texas doesn't have an income tax, so I am not sure what they would give you a credit against.

Arrrrrg, I'm such an idiot. Ok, halve the price. I do believe there's something in the works to lower the price.steveincowtown wrote:Texas doesn't have an income tax, so I am not sure what they would give you a credit against.
