Regions Bank - League City

Post by twjones »

I was just there and noticed a posted "No Guns" sign on their door. Far from a proper 06/07 sign; however, I'm closing my accounts.

Please advise of gun friendly banks.

Thank you.

having a gunbuster sign is not a reason to close the bank, IMO
Many places have gunbuster signs, knowing full well it does not prevent OC/CC

having 30.06/30.07, properly posted, however, would make me close an account,.
I did just that last week at my credit union. they posted new 06/07 signs, and I told them exactly why I was pulling out.

It is simply a reminder that anyone without a license is breaking the law.

I've been doing a careful survey of signs in our local area. I'm paying special attention to banks. So far, no Chase, Wells Fargo or Bank of America is posted with either sign in this area. One of the CUs has a big honkin' 30.07 sign. Near Denton, several of the banks have both but none of the smaller banks in this area even have gun-buster signs. I figure that if they haven't posted by June, they are not going to. I suspect that warmer weather might bring more OC out of the woodwork and if that happens in banks, some might react.

So far, none of the banks that I do business with have any signs. Whew!

My Regions bank also has signs about not wearing hats or sunglasses I don't think it's that big of a deal with just a gun buster sign. If I recall they had that sign before January.

Why close the account and be driven off with nothing more than a child's logo? Why not just simply continue to bank there? Maybe what they want is to drive off all of you crazy gun types so the don't have to deal with you...and accomplish that with nothing more than a little meaningless sign. Can you imagine where the African American people would be if they refused to do business in a store just because they put up an illegal "No Blacks" sign after the civil rights legislation was passed? It took them refusing to be shut out by illegal tactics of owners

Who cares if they don't like what you like...guns. They haven't told you you can't carry have they? Of course not.

It should take more than some little logo to drive you off. They don't care if you leave. Why inconvenience yourself?

When they are ready to play by the rules then let them do so. Until then just ignore them and continue legally carrying.

I have talked with bankers about open-carry and I can say that a number of them are going to post generic "no guns" signs for PR reasons. They understand that such signs apply only to people without a LTC. Anyone carrying openly will be given oral notice.
