Goodwill McKinney Update

Well, don't know if this is celebration is premature, but Goodwill McKinney just off HW380 took their cheesy 30-06 sign down. BTW, it was legal in regards to letter font size, but printed on about a dozen sheets of paper taped to the inside glass door. Anyway, might just be they are awaiting arrival of their "official" signs. We'll see.

I talked with the manager at a local Goodwill store in January. He asked me if I was going to use a little BBQ pit I purchased and when I told him it was for my deer lease he asked me if I knew anything about OC. I asked him if he'd seen anyone in the store and if they'd received any training. No and No were his answers but he'd been told they were to get some training on it. I gave him a quick synopsis of CC and OC laws and facts about licensees having background checks and being ultra law abiding citizens, how a person OC should have their weapon in a proper holster. He was very interested in everything I had to say, but was concerned about someone coming in with a an exposed handgun that acted suspiciously. I didn't ask him what that would be, but I told him if his gut told him something wasn't right he could ask them to leave.
