Its apparently the place to rob these days. Everyone might want to keep their eyes open a bit wider for while.

From Staff Reports

Richardson police were searching for a man who robbed a Starbucks on Friday and may be connected to other coffee shop robberies in the area.

The incident took place Friday morning in the 1900 block of North Coit Road, said Lt. Mike Scott, of the Richardson Police Department.

It was unclear how many customers were in the store at the time of the robbery, Lt. Scott said. Witnesses said they could see the outline of a gun that the man had concealed in his clothing.

There was an attempt to keep the robber locked inside the store, but he managed to flee. A witness chased him outside the store and saw him leave in a white Honda or Acura with Texas license plate No. T23ZFD, Lt. Scott said. The man was wearing a baseball cap and appeared to be in his early 20s.

No injuries were reported.

Lt. Scott said the man may also be responsible for two other Starbucks robberies in Dallas and Richardson.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm a few miles away, but usually do a lot of my "big city" shopping there.
