It is a little confusing, but they can do so for short time periods under the law when there are special circumstances. The policy is fairly clear that it is a max of seven days and lists some very special circumstances. I think they are within the law IF they do not abuse this clause by declaring it too often or for irrelevant activities.JP171 wrote:no they can't declare the entire campus as a gun free zone they are a publicly funded school

If this remains, I want to see how this goes over with the Texas Legislature. Especially in light of that little concert hall in Paris.
