TexasCHLForum Supreme Court

Post by mr surveyor »

How about the attorneys, legal experts, leo investigators and other related professionals assemble themselves into some type of judicial panel similar to the Supreme Court and try a mock case. Maybe take something similar to the Gun Show ND case, not necessarily that case itself, but something with a set of established facts, investigative reports, evidence, right down to a final ruling and dissinting opinion.

A few of you professionals (given the spare time to donate) could put together something like this and let it run like a series over as much time as needed (in a locked thread). Mock trials can be very informative when the speakers and opinion staters are limited to only those that actually have the professional knowledge to offer "useful information". Any of us can read from the law books, but if that was all that is necessary to understand and apply the law, then we wouldn't need the high courts very often.

I really appreciate the legal issue threads where you professionals offer true knowledge, but there are way too many times that "non-professional" opinions are left hanging as the truth, when in all likelyhood a great many readers are being seriously misled.

Just a suggestion
It's not gun control that we need, it's soul control!

This is a great idea. My wife is currently in school for a Paralegal and is willing to donate time to this idea.

I'd like to see it in more of a blog-like format where we could ask questions and make comments without interrupting the flow of the trial.
