Right. I've been reading for three hours now all the law I can find and it I have already contacted the county clerk and should have these documents in a week or two.

.
Are you in Houston court? I went down there and there was no line and it took me 10 minutes at a $1 a page. I went thru the ten year period myself. i have bought guns the whole time with NICS checks but had to wait for CHL. Made no sense but its over now.
Brazoria county. And I went down last week and got everything for one dollar a page just as you said.

I took my CHL class yesterday and shipped all the paperwork (including my documents) off to Austin today.

Wish me luck.

JasonH,

You might also look into getting an Order of NonDisclosure. It will wipe your previous indiscretion off your public record and makes it legal for you to not mention it on job applications. After the order goes through, your previous indiscretion will be removed from all the publicdata.com sites and employers will no longer be able to see it on Background searches.

Just an FYI from someone with past indiscretions like you.
I'm from Texas, what country are you from?
