I just looked at my Winchester 1300 Defender and can't find any choke markings on the barrel. Not sure what choke it is.

In times of danger, not before.
The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

The standard barrel is cylinder.

Should there be some sort of marking on the barrel to show that?

Try the Winchester webpage for that specific gun. That's how I got the value for my Mossberg 590.....but then on closer inspection, there it is, right there on the left side of the barrel...... "CYLINDER BORE"......

If you have a barrel that accepts interchangeable chokes, you will have to remove the choke to see which one is in it. or if you have the tools you can measure it, but I have found it just as quick to pull it out and look at the choke itself.

No removable chokes on this gun. Probably cylinder like I was advised above.

I just got home from Mansfield and got my Defender out check for a choke nomination. None found, but I measured it and it's .730 ID at the muzzle; basically 12 Ga bore diameter which means no constriction whatsoever, thus Cylinder choke to be technical .
