South Padre Beaches

Post by Flatland2D »

I read through the Galveston thread, but just wanted to double check this before I leave for this weekend. Are the beaches in South Padre considered any sort of park? Or any other reason that carry would be restricted anywhere on the island other than 51% and 30.06?

Thanks.

And any suggestions for where to go out to eat would be welcome.

To the best of my knowledge, South Padre Island is a combination of state and private property, and you're good to go.

I just checked TP&W and there's no state parks on the island and also checked the NPS and the only federal land is the northern part of South Padre. Below is a map of the national park.

Actually, Padre Island and South Padre Island are 2 totally separate islands. The Padre Island National Seashore is a National Park. There's no federal land on South Padre at all, as far as I'm aware.
