Remington 700 PSS precision rig and Stoeger 12ga O/U

Post by cyphur »

I've decided to persue my CCIE certification, which for those who are familiar with Cisco, know it is quite an undertaking. For the next year to 18 months, I won't have much free time. As such, I cannot dedicate myself to the hobby of precision shooting as I would like to. It's tough for me to tie up so much money in a weapon when I will hardly use it.

Here's the breakdown....

Remington 700 PSS in .308. Under 300 rounds through the barrel, never mistreated. Brand new stock and trigger guard assembly.

Accessories on the rifle include a Jewell single stage HVR trigger, with A, B, and C springs(A is installed). This trigger is the nicest trigger I've ever had the pleasure of using.

Harris Bi-pod. I like it alot, came with the gun. No flaws.

Badger 1-piece picatinny rail.

Badger 30mm Max scope rings, medium height.

Butler Creek flip caps(they go with the scope).

VisionNetWeb scope. If any of you have had the pleasure of meeting the man who makes these, he is a pleasure to work with. He lives over in Garland and has excellent cutomer service. I messed my scope up one night mounting it and accidentally tweaked one of the turrets - however it didn't occur to me how it happened until after he replaced it. He replaced the entire scope for $35, no questions asked. Great guy, he's at most of the DFW gun shows. Glass is superb, and very clear. High light transmission. Comes with extension tube for high magnification use in bright environments. Model shown here: http://www.visionnetweb.com/products/se ... SFE-lk.htm

Rifle is assembled and zero'd. Shoots true, every time. Often times, points out flaws in my posture and technique by not hitting where I thought I was aiming!! I have shot maybe two boxes of lower end ammo through it to guage the rifle's ability, the rest is higher end Winchester and Black Hills. Comes with a hard case and all accessories. The Marshall has shot this rifle and knows it's condition, I hope he doesn't mind me using him as a reference!

I have a lot of money tied up in this rig, and would like to free it up. After I finish my CCIE I will be able to take the time to build another, so I am not too worried about it. I would like to avoid parting it out, but if I get all of the items spoken for, I will be glad to do it. Rifle will be accompanied by a can of Rem-Oil, as well as a bore snake.

$1500 for it all. I'd have to consider break down prices, but the bare rifle w/Jewell trigger would go for $1000. I have pictures for those seriously interested. Everything is in pristine condition with a few marks on the scope from mounting - nothing that affects function.

I also have a Stoeger 12ga O/U that has some damage to the wood. I bought this from orionengnr here on the board. Hasn't been shot since, but I have kept it properly oiled and greased while in storage(wipe it down every month or two, and every time after it's handled). I'm asking exactly what I paid - $185. I will post pictures of it later - will be using the original pictures provided by orionengr as its condition is unchanged.

Face to Face only, CHL preferred, in DFW metroplex. Cash only FTF, if you wish to pay via certified bank check or money order, it must clear the bank prior to transfer of items. Shipping is a last option, but buyer will pay actual shipping charges.

For those that don't know, Cyphur keeps his weapons in excellent condition.

And his Rifle is scary accurate.
