How Much I Need This Forum

Post by carlson1 »

I stumbled onto this forum just a couple of weeks ago. I did not realize how much I DON'T know. I do know my first CHL class was a joke. I learned absolutely nothing. My last renewal class was a lot more informitive, but I either missed it or it is like the police academy, there is so much it is hard to teach it all. Thank you TexasCHLforum!! (and all who post).

This is a great group of guys and gals. Strange enough, I consider the regulars here like my friends. I close every evening, even after hanging out, with answering posts and following up with the forum.

It's a great place with very intelligent knowledgeable people.

For instance:

- We have some LEO's, Chris and Kevin (KBCraig).

- We have a comedian - Stevie

- We have a lawyer - Charles

- TSA has a showing with JimLongley

- Some Pastors - well..a few, including yourself

- College students - ie...me, and I think one other.

- NUMEROUS chl class instructors.

(sorry to all who I forgot) - But there is a solid base of regular posters.

I love it.

Me too, I start here with my morning coffee,( right after my Thank You Lord You let me wake up again )and drop in several times through the day just to see what Y'all are doing, being 65 means that I am up in the middle of the night and I sometimes will even check in then.

This address is recomended to all my student's to keep up with thing's and have an opportunity to get several good opinions to any question or idea, and so that we have the benefit of their input as well.

I still learn, it's just that because of my memory, these days I have to take note's.

I want to offer my thanks to you folks who have made the forum one of the better sources of information on this subject. As Nick said, we have a wide range of experience and expertise and people willing to contribute their knowledge to help the growing CHL community.

Thanks folks, I'm proud to be a part of this group.

We really need some shirts printed or something. Only to wear to the range and stuff, but it could be a good way to spread the word about the forum.

Wearing it in public just MIGHT fall under hte shoot me first category with the photo vest....but i really doubt the shoot me first category even exists.

Nick...

I'd be nervous if I ever saw you wear a shirt with TexasCHLForum on it...

You'd be walking a few paces in front of me if you did!

The admins are the foundation for the good forum. Charles you keep the forum in good character. I don't mind my grandkids looking over my shoulder while I come here. The guys here let their good character leak out & I am prowd to be a part of it. Thank you from top to bottom.

+1 for what Nick said.

And like El Gato said, I too usually hit the forum as soon as I can in the AM. Unfortunatly I am way behind as I've taken a few days internet break.

Just to show how much we have grown in membership and participation, 6 months ago 15 total posts per day was really busy. Now, after taking about 3 days off, it is going to take me a whole day just to get caught up.

+1 to all of the above comments.
Welcome Carlson1. Glad to see someone else from Irving on here.
Lots of great folks as well as info found here.
I too check the site almost every morning when I get to the office. Although I don't have as much time to post as I would like, I do learn a lot from here.
