Kudos to All

Post by atx2a »

I was thinking tonight as I watched the news and the vitriol, arguments, etc. that are so prevalent - that someone needed to say it:

Kudos to this community of gun owners.

While we certainly have our share of debates, the overarching theme and tone amongst this group of forum posters is one of kindness, a willingness to help, comradery, and a general display of just plain good people. Contrary to what the media would portray, I am constantly impressed by the manners, respect, integrity and honor displayed by gun owners. By and large they are good people who want the best for all around them.

Nothing new or mind-shattering, but felt I should pass along the encouragement. Keep on keepin-on, folks. You're good people.

Anything we do to promote personal responsibility in our community, improves our community.
The concept of personal responsibility is lost in today's liberal mindset.

The reason an armed community is a polite community is personal responsibility, not the guns.

I agree very much Sir. I have found nothing but good people on here. The forum itself is managed very well and is a wealth of knowledge I didn't have access to before.

Thanks to atx2a for starting this thread and to those who have posted. Your kind words are appreciated by the Moderators more than you know. It takes a lot more work to run a forum than most folks realize, unless they have served as a Moderator or Administrator. Everyone donates their time and, candidly, they get more complaints than praise, so on behalf of all of our great Moderators, thanks again folks.

I always speak highly of the forum to my LTC students.

I don't always pass that praise on to Charles and the moderators.

Thanks to all that make this place the best forum on the net. :txflag:

Amen!

It never fails to amaze me that despite our core freedoms constantly being trampled, we as a whole, and especially those here on this forum, show more restraint, decorum, and respect than is ever shown to us.
I'm proud to be part of this group.

It's a shame so many can't see the good in their fellow man. There is always rare camaraderie to be found among groups with a specialized interest, and that's particularly true of the Second Amendment crowd. Always a nice feeling to share fellowship with brother armed citizens.

I have no idea what it takes to moderate a forum such as this. How many times are post removed for content? Again, I have no idea. I have seen posts from Mr. Cotton bringing attention to the members conduct that will not be tolerated. That testifies to me that the forum is consistently reviewed. I thank you folks for maintaining the forum in such a way that it does not become a tool for the anti's. I have enjoyed being a part of the community. Thank you. :patriot: :txflag:

While this is the only forum I am a registered member of, I have been to hundreds of other forums from Jeeps to motorcycles to almost everything you can imagine. I have to say, this is the ONLY forum that doesn't allow profanity and personal attacks that I have ever seen and I really appreciate that! Although I have been known to use some salty language myself, I enjoy being able to carry on a conversation or discussion without it getting into a shouting match about whether my father was married to my mother when I was born or that my mother is a female dog. Thanks to Charles and all the moderators for the continued good job you all do! :thumbs2:
