Tennessee Gun Free Zone Law

Goes into effect on Friday. A permit holder can sue a business if the business made their location a gun free zone (unless legally off limits already). Now you can sue for just about anything, but this sounds like it gives you some teeth should you be hurt in a gun free zone. Wonder if you are killed, could your family sue on your behalf? I wonder because it says that the permit holder could sue, but it's hard to sue if you are dead.

Can we get something like this in Texas?

My new second favorite state.

And I don't think this violates some of the views here about people having the right and freedom to ban guns from their property or business.

Texas?

Is this just a "feel good law"? Can't you sue right now? Winning is a different issue. How about a law that said a business that posts gun free and provides security is immune from suit? I do wish Texas would pass a similar law though as I think it would make the average store owner less likely to post those stupid signs.

Glad to see this as we will be road tripping to Tennessee in August, with my EDC, of course.
