Do these have a slot for each round or... if I put only one round in the box will it stay in place or bounce around inside?
They do look slotted, but, it's hard to be sure from the Cabela's photo.
Here's what I mean by slotted...

Please clue me in.
Why would I want to unload a manufacturers box to load up another box?
I find using the ammo straight out of the box it came in most efficient.
So, what am I not understanding?
Thanks!

We re-loaders are suffering from OCD and we love to store our loaded ammo in shinny boxes, scratch that, in clear plastic boxes.Abraham wrote:Please clue me in.

Thanks for the info, ordered 4 9mm & 4 223.
For me, I have several boxes of "loose" ammo. This will make it easier to handle.

Also, if you buy in bulk or milsurp you often get just that: loose ammo in bulk. Not so bad to transport the rounds that way when the box is full, but after you start dipping into it there's considerable room for the ammo to bounce around in the back of the ol' SUV and dent or slightly deform the bullets. I have a bunch of MTM Case-Guard containers like this, but will have to hop over to Cabella's to take a look at these.Beiruty wrote:We re-loaders are suffering from OCD and we love to store our loaded ammo in shinny boxes, scratch that, in clear plastic boxes.Abraham wrote:Please clue me in.

Man; wish they'd also had boxes for .308. The clear .223 100-count boxes were on sale for $1.99 each, and the promo code pulled that down to $1.79 plus free shipping. I stocked up.

Skiprr,
You provide more good points.
Heck, maybe I ought to order some if my next order is for bulk/loose 5.56 ammo.
