Poll: 3 Out of 5 Texans Choose Secession if Clinton is Elected

TownHall article author is borderline illiterate. It's 3 out of 5 Texan Trump voters. From the actual poll PDF linked in the article:
Finally we polled on Texas secession. Overall 26% of voters would support leaving the United States to 59% who want to stay, and 15% who aren't sure either way. Among Trump voters support for secession goes up to 37%, with only 49% opposed to exiting. If you look at the Presidential race in Texas only among voters who are opposed to seceding from the United State, Clinton leads Trump 54/41. But that's offset by Trump's 72/20 advantage with the secession crowd. If Clinton is elected President this fall, the Trump voters really want out- in that case 61% say they'd support seceding from the United States, to only 29% who would stick around.

The actual newsworthy part: 18% of Clinton voters support Texas seceding if Clinton is elected?

I know, I know...after reading the entire poll I regret posting about it. That's why I distrust polls, the data when you dig into it looks screwy and not very believable.

As far as the TownHall article author - I have read TownHall for years, there's some really good columnists on there that I respect their work. But the last couple of years the "editors" and other people who run TownHall sound more like progressives than conservatives. Many of them would rather see Hillary Clinton elected than to support Donald Trump, because of their "principles" and such.

18% of voters would support Harambe the Gorilla for President if polled, even though he is dead. These polls are meaningless.

The article I read said that it was 1 out of 4 Texas, and 3 out of 5 Trump supporters. Not all Texans are Trump supporters.

While I don't want to see Hillary elected, this is a worthless poll. The sample pool numbers are about 1/2 of what you would want and the pool of respondents is biased to say the least.

I've always read that its an impossible situation, where Texas would actually secede.

If Hilary is elected, I say challenge accepted.

Texit!
