T/C Pro Hunter Katahdin with Flex Tech stock in 500 S&W For Sale

Post by mrvmax »

I have my T/C Pro Hunter Katahdin with Flex Tech stock in 500 S&W up for sale. I am consolidating calibers and getting rid of a couple that are not suited to long range and this is one of those. This rifle has had some mods done to it to make it reliable, last year while bench rest firing it the front forearm broke off. I had stainless screws holding the plastic forearm on and recoil sheared off the forearm and bent the screws. Honestly it is a poor design by T/C since there is no way the plastic forearm will withstand the recoil of 500 S&W. I sent it off the Mike Bellm to have dovetails cut and inserts installed to secure the forearm. He also upgraded the scope mount and now it has a total of seven screws holding it on (it's not going to budge, even under the recoil of the 500 S&W). I purchased a new forearm and beefed up the flimsy plastic with epoxy and so far it has worked well. I will also throw in a solid wood forearm I purchased from E. Arthur Brown. I also added the Bellm 1x hinge pin to tighten it up.
I am asking $600 shipped for the rifle and wood forearm (without the scope and rings). I will also throw in 30 pieces of used brass to get you started on hand loading and I can give you some Quickload data also. I will add the scope and rings for an additional $225, the scope and rings are like new and only used once. The scope is a Vortex HS series 2.5-10x44 with V-plex reticle. Pics are located at the link below, I did my best with my camera to get good pics. There are a few minor scratches but overall it is in great shape.
