Another sign down

Post by mdubtx »

It wasn't 30.06 or 30.07. But, is was an incorrect sign taken down.

Noticed while browsing the texas3006 map that a favorite in the lunch rotation had been flagged as 51%. Didn't remember the sign and hadn't been in a while so I went today. Some amount of time less than a month after the sign was reported to texas3006, and presumably reported to TABC, the 51% sign is gone. Sure, the typically off premises consumption TABC subchapter H, chapter 411 sign is probably still incorrect for a restaurant. But, it doesn't disallow licensed carry. Only down side is... I didn't get to report my first incorrect sign to TABC. ;)

1) :woohoo
2) For my own curiosity, is the new sign still incorrect for a restaurant or just old wording for a "blue" sign?
3) Would it be appropriate to start a thread recognizing when a sign comes down?
May we never haver to draw but always be prepared.

If they sell alcohol for on or off premises consumption, but less than 51% on-premises sales, they still have to post the TABC BLUE sign, whatever the current version is.

FWIW, get the TABC app. It makes it convenient to report non-compliant establishments. I used it to report a wine bar that was posting both the RED and BLUE signs in their window. I actually got a an email from the TABC investigator wanting more info, and that he was going by the place to check it out. Pretty good service.
