Robber tries to rob a store, gets shot. Tells cop that "they're supposed to just hand over the money, not try to stop anyone." :smilelol5:

17 years old? Really? I can just imagine what his parent, or parents have taught him. Likely they are the root cause. :mad5

I'm guessing this was not his first "job". Hopefully getting shot will change the downward trajectory of his life.

I blame the armed robber for his criminality, not the parents with a caveat: Perhaps, they're a criminal family...

I do know many times when teenagers turn to crime the parents are often well adjusted, well off, good people who are not to blame for their child's rotten behavior.

How many times have you known a family and all the siblings are good with the one exception?

I've known a number.

You have a good point. No matter what background you have, you and you alone are in charge of the choices you make. But I said "likely." Lacking information on the subject, I can't help but wonder what percentage of our prison populations come from a good background verses otherwise.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

Yeah, I don't think he will be the valedictorian of his graduating class.

He's just lucky to have chosen gas stations instead of pawn shops to rob!
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Yep maybe he will learn his lesson. Could have been that it was the last lesson he could have learned.

So true. I've known a few families the same. One family had 1) and Air Force PJ, 2) lawyer/teacher, 3) oil and gas business manager and 4) one strung out on drugs and alcohol who they tried to "save" with basically all their life savings.

Hmm.. no booking photo of the young cretin or his name. I'm sure he's a 'good boy' though. (store clerk needs more time at the range.)
