How many in the education system

Post by troglodyte »

Seems as I read through more and more old posts, I am coming across more folks that seem to be in the education system.

So here's the question...

How many of you work at a school, as "defined" and restricted by the CHL laws?

If you feel comfortable adding what level and position, it would be interesting to see the results. Maybe even a grassroots movement... HA:lol:

Right now I work at a job that's CHL friendly, but starting next summer I'll be in the education system as a college professor (I have to finish my Master's first.) So it won't be too long until I'm disarmed at work, unfortunately.

My management professor the other day mentioned in class when talking about authority, traffic stops as an example, that he has a CHL.

A+ to him :)

Junior High till I die.

Technology Education (SHOP) teacher

NEVER carry on campus.
Has to wait till I get home.

It is legal according to law for me to have my piece in my car in the parking lot but, that is not a fight I am willing to fight right now.

I've taught for seven years.
I've been in the same classroom since I started teaching.

Obviously, I don't carry while I'm working. I would support any law that would lift the restrictions on CHLers.

I'm caught twice at the same job. I work for the Windham School District, which is the school system within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In other words I work in the schools in our state prisons! I obviously don't carry at work.
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
